How To Send a Read Only Document (for Tracking)

SignWell allows you to easily send read-only documents. Here’s how to do that!

To begin, go to your Documents dashboard, and click on the "New Document" button: 

Upload a document by selecting the file from your device. You'll be required to provide the contact for at least one person who will be receiving the read only document:

Hit "Prepare" and you'll be taken to the preview page. Since this is a read only document for tracking purposes, don't place any of the data entry fields onto the document. Simply click on the "Send" button: 

You'll then have the option to "Go Back and Add Fields" or to send the document as a "Share and Track (Read-Only)" document:

Select the tracking/read-only option and you'll be taken to the send dialogue for this type of document: 

If you'd like to require that they "approve" the document after viewing it, you can enable this settings in the send dialogue by enabling the send as sales document option.

Click "Send" and your recipient will receive the document and have the option to download it.

Getting a Share Link for Read Only Docs

To send a read only document via the share link, click "I'm the only person signing" after uploading: 

Hit "Continue" and you'll be taken to the preview page of the document. Simply hover over the "Share" drop-down in the top right corner and select the "Share Link" option: 

You can share this link wherever you'd like and anyone who accesses it can view and download the read only document. 

You can disable the link at any time by accessing the share link settings and switching this setting from "no" to "yes":
